John Andrew Ramsey, victim’s brotherwill renew his family’s appeal to Colorado Gov. Jared Polis to endorse DNA testing by an independent agency in the cold case.

JonBenet’s brother would turn to Parabon NanoLabs, which has a history of using sophisticated and innovative genetic genealogy research techniques to solve cold case murders.

In an interview with Australia’s “60 Minutes,” CeCe Moore, the Virginia-based firm’s chief genetic genealogist, said that it could take a few hours for your team to identify the DNA collected at the crime scene in 1996.

Ramsey retweeted the interview in his post in which he made the request to the Colorado governor.

“There are people all over the world who they want their killer to be brought to justicewho want to know what happened and who want the answers,” said the genetic genealogist during the interview.

The family of the minor murdered more than 20 years ago has endorsed a Change.org petition calling on Polis to take aspects of the case away from Boulder police, who say they have refused to perform DNA analysis on some evidence, which 25 years after the crime remains unproven.

Until now, more than 10 thousand signatures support the petition.

Just last week, prosecutors in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania announced that Parabon helped solve a brutal cold case from 1975.

“This arrest would not have been possible without the help of CeCe Moore and Parabon NanoLabs,” said Heather Adams, Lancaster District Attorney.

We are incredibly grateful for the work they do and its commitment to ensuring justice for the victims and their loved ones, he added.
