A 6-year-old girl died Friday after a murder suspect fled from police. and crashed his car with the vehicle where the minor was with her family.
Through a press release this Saturday, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office said they are investigating the police chase of a murder suspect in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, after a car-on-car crash.
The suspect’s car collided with a second vehicle carrying five people.including the 6 year old girl.
For his part, a 15-year-old adolescent remains hospitalized, while the driver and two passengers were taken to a medical center, but were released.
Officers reportedly learned of the suspect’s whereabouts around 4:40 pm Friday and attempted to use a tire deflator device that would prevent a pursuit to apprehend the subject. The device failed to immobilize the vehicle and a pursuit began.
The suspect, who had a murder warrant at the time of the accident, was taken into police custody and also ended up hospitalized following the chase.
Currently the investigation of the event is “active” and “ongoing”according to the authorities in a press release.
The suspect’s identity has not been released at this time and no new criminal charges have been filed, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News.
