Actor and comedian Anthony Johnson found dead in Los Angeles

Actor and comedian Anthony Johnson, best known for his roles in the films ‘House Party’ and ‘Friday’, has died at 55. His representative, LyNea Bell confirmed the news to The Hollywood Reporter, although the cause of his death has not yet been revealed.

According to the TMZ portal, Johnson’s nephew said that “He was found lifeless in a store earlier this month in Los Angeles, and rushed him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead“.

The actor had a prominent role playing EZE in the 1990 movie ‘House Party’, and is also remembered for his role as Ezal in the 1995 comedy ‘Friday’. His other film credits include Mortal Weapon 3, ‘Menace II Society’, ‘House Party 3’, ‘How to Be a Player’ and ‘ I Got the Hook Up ‘, among others.

Additionally, Johnson appeared in such television series as’ The Bold and the Beautiful ‘,’ Def Comedy Jam ‘,’ Malcom & Eddie ‘,’ Moesha ‘,’ The Jamie Foxx Show ‘and’ The Parent ‘Hood’.

He also played Sleazy-E, a parody of Eazy-E, in the 1992 Dr. Dre music video “Dre Day” and the 1993 Eazy-E music video “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s.”
