American actor Jay pickett, known for his role on the television series “General Hospital,” passed away in Idaho filming a scene for his next film, “Treasure Valley.”
According to his co-star Jim Heffel, the 60-year-old histrion was filming the film, which he wrote and starred in, when he died riding a horse.
“Jay Pickett decided to ride to the skiesHeffel wrote in a tribute on Facebook. “I lost a good friend and the world lost a great person“.

The director, Travis Mills, also posted a message on Facebook after Pickett’s death. Although the cause of death is unknown, said it could be a heart attack.
“Our protagonist, writer, producer and creator of this film, passed away suddenly while we were in the place preparing to shoot a scene,” he said. “There is no official explanation for the cause of his death, but it seems to have been a heart attack“.
Pickett played Detective David Harper on “General Hospital,” from 2006 to 2008. He also guest-starred on shows like “Desperate Housewives,” “Dexter,” and “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
