While the exact cause of Ruiz’s death has not yet been clarified, as of this article’s publication, the ANDI’s official Instagram account confirmed the tragic news this morning.

In 2021, Ruiz bravely shared a personal revelation with his followers. Through his social media, he detailed his diagnosis of colon cancer, admitting the crushing weight of the news. “After a week of uncertainty and many studies, came one of the worst news of my life, I felt the world was coming down on me to know that a colon cancer with metastasis was already in my body,” he poignantly wrote.
