Agueda Lopez: Being on a catwalk at Fashion Week New York, next to my admired Custo, is an honor and a pleasure. For me Custo has been a benchmark of Spanish fashion since I have a sense of memoryhas always been a highly admired and highly respected person in the industry, and Being here with him for another year at New York Fashion Week is incredible for me..

-What do you enjoy about being part of a parade?

Agueda Lopez: What I enjoy most about a parade I think the during… The before, obviously, is entertaining because they prepare you, you see people you know, you say hello; the after for me no longer exists, I already get off a catwalk, I go home running with my children.

-What is different about Custo?

-You accompany your husband, Luis Fonsi, a lot in his career, how does he accompany you in yours?

Agueda Lopez: Fonsi has always supported me in everything, when I decided to get away from the catwalks a little, because my children were very young, like when I decided to return, like when I decide to do a different project, it is. He is now doing ‘La Voz en España’, and we just landed, he stayed there 2 days ago, and I told him: “I’m going to New York” … He told me: “Go, go to New York, enjoy”… He knows how much I love Custo, he was in Custo’s last parade here too, like that that he has always been a super support for me in everything professional, as a mother, as a person, as a woman.

-What do your children say when they see you parade?

Agueda Lopez: Are very different… Micaela always tells me: “Mommy, you look beautiful, you look pretty, I love your dress, how beautiful the colors are”… And Rocco simply tells me: “Beautiful, mommy”. He is very affectionate, he is very flirtatious as I say, so he always knows how to grab your side to make you feel good…

They were very proud of me, they know I’m here, they’re asking me for photos, “Please, send me photos mommy, I want to see you”… And the rule is that I do everything for them, If I knew that they are not well because I am away from home for 2 days, which is why I run away to work, I would not do itI feel super calm knowing that first they are well taken care of, because my mother-in-law always helps me in everything, I have a family from Fonsi who supports us in everythingY second we are super proud of your momjust as I am happy doing this.

As Agueda says, this is Custo’s 50th show, and 25th at NYFW… On this occasion, the designer whose muse is Luis Fonsi’s wife, called his new collection ‘Sun O’Clock’, dedicated to imagination, innovative pattern making and a daring selection of materials.
