Bad bunny was the big winner of the night of the 2021 Billboard Awards. Telemundo broadcast the gala where Latin music was honored and it was the performer of “Dákiti” who won the most awards – a total of 10.
The party night that had as drivers William Levy, Maite Perroni, Gaby espino and Pedro Fernandez, also saw other winners such as black Eyed Peas that they took three prizes. The categories in which they won were “Latin Pop” Song of the Year for their song “Mamacita”, in Song of the Year ”for“ Ritmo (bad boys for life) ”and also in the category of Crossover Artist of the Year.
Karol G won two awards in the categories of “Hot Latin Songs” Artist of the Year, Female and “Top Latin Albums” Artist of the Year, Female. Other artists who were also honored with two awards each include Maluma and the canadian The Weeknd which won for Latin Airplay Song of the Year and “Latin Rhythm” Song of the Year with the song “Hawáii”; the band Manna, who won his awards as “Latin Pop” Artist of the Year, Duo or Group and the Billboard Icon Award; while Prince royce won in the category of Tropical Song of the Year with “Carita Inocente” and Tropical Album of the Year for Alter Ego.
In the Mexican regional genre, the Banda MS by Sergio Lizárraga in the categories of “Hot Latin Songs” Artist of the Year, Duo or Group and Regional Mexican Artist, Duo or Group, while his colleagues from Armed Link they won “Top Latin Album” Artist of the Year, Duo or Group and Regional Mexican Album of the Year for Tu Veneno Mortal.
