Altercation at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport’s Terminal 3 baggage claim area leads to arrest of Maywood and Carol Stream’s residents

Caught on camera, a brawl at O'Hare escalates rapidly. Chicago Police intervene, ensuring traveler safety and apprehending two locals.

Video footage shows a mass brawl in the baggage claim area of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, an incident that resulted in two arrests. The incident was reported last night at the airport’s Terminal 3.

Footage going viral on social media shows a dozen travelers fighting, including three women rolling on the ground while pulling each other by the hair and exchanging blows.

Two men are also seen fist-bumping each other before falling into the baggage carousel. The hat of one of them goes flying off.

Due to the chaos and the number of people involved, it is difficult to establish who started the fight and who is being confronted versus those who intervened to stop the brawl. It is also unclear what sparked the violent exchange.

The Chicago Police Department confirmed that two people were arrested during the events.

Both are facing assault charges.

“A verbal dispute escalated while disembarking on the lower level of Terminal 3 when two offenders struck a 24-year-old victim,” a department statement said.

“The suspects were taken into custody and charged,” the agency punctuated. For their part, O’Hare managers said they worked with their partners at that airport and Midway as well as police, to ensure the safety of travelers.
