AMLO reappears after contagion of COVID-19 and pays tribute to Carlos Pellicer

This Sunday, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) reappeared in his video shared on his social networks, after his second contagion of COVID-19, to remember the Mexican writer and politician Carlos Pellicer Chamber.

The president sent a message in the framework of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Pellicer Cámara, celebrated from the Palace of Fine Arts, which was attended by the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, the Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto and his wife of the president, Beatriz Gutierrez Muller.

Let us remember that López Obrador’s last public appearance was on January 11, when he attended virtually in the morning and where he disclosed his state of health after confirming that he was infected with COVID-19 for the second time.

At video shared by the president In his official social networks, he pointed out: “When I met maestro Carlos Pellicer, he was a great man, in every sense of the word. He was an established writer. Among his contributions to art and culture, he founded the Archaeological Museum of Tabasco.

Likewise, López Obrador recalled that maestro Pellicer served for many years as president of the Committee in Defense and Solidarity with the people of Nicaragua during the Somoza dictatorship.

“When I met Professor Pellicer I was studying high school in Villahermosa and he was a talented man with proven humanist and libertarian convictions,” he said.
