The Napoli coach, Luciano Spalletti, spoke about the rumors about the team’s alleged interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United in the preview of the match against Fiorentina, corresponding to matchday 3 of Serie A in Italy.

When asked about the possibility of including the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in his squad, Luciano Spaletti did not hide that it would be a dream come true. “No coach would give up working with him, it would be something to tell about for a lifetime,” he expressed.

However, he adjusted to reality and denied that Napoli was in talks with Manchester United for ‘CR7’. “The truth is that there is no negotiation,” he pointed out, leaving without effect all the information published by the European media that hinted at the return of the Post-Portuguese to Italy.

Meanwhile, the Italian coach clarified that at this point in the market, he sees it difficult for Cristiano Ronaldo to arrive and for any other striker. “There are only a few days left for the end of the market, and I see it as difficult for something of this type to happen. There is nothing concrete for now”.

Lastly, he let it be known that one of the reasons for his pessimism about being able to sign the 37-year-old Portuguese or any other player is because the club’s board has not managed to get rid of some footballers who are not in the plans of sports for this season.

“De Laurentiis (president of Napoli) has not received offers for Osimhen, and we must be as realistic as possible,“ sentenced Spaletti before the Italian media.
