Tragedy strikes again Nick Cave: seven years after his son Arthur died at the age of 15 after falling off a cliff in England, yesterday he said goodbye to another son, Jethro, who was 31.

It is with great sadness that I can confirm that my son Jethro has passed away.. We appreciate that you respect the family privacy right now”, the Australian singer-songwriter said in a statement.

The cause of death was not specified.

Actor, musician and model who worked for firms such as Balenciaga and Versace, Jethro, whom Cave procreated with the model Beau Lazenby, had been diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Just last month he was jailed for physically assaulting his mother in March.

The young man, named for the admiration that Cave professed in his youth for the progressive rock band Jethro Tull, was arrested in 2018 for another attack, this time against his then-girlfriend.

According to The Guardian, Jethro, who grew up in Australia, didn’t meet the “Into My Armas” singer until he was 8 years old.

“Those were tough times, but they ended well. To my eternal regret, I didn’t have much contact with Jethro in the early years, but now i have a great relationship with himCave said in 2008.

“It didn’t start off well, because of all the s**t about who my dad is and being his shadow,” Jethro said in 2012.

The death of Arthur, 7 years ago, son of Cave and fashion designer Susie Bick, the musician exposed in his documentary One More Time With the Feeling.

There, along with his duel, he delves into the creation of his album Skeleton Tree (2016).

After death it was learned that the boy had consumed LSD.

Cave, 64, announced a few weeks ago that in June he will release a spoken word project called Seven Psalms, made with frequent collaborator Warren Ellis.
