Google honors Avicii with a Doodle on the day that the DJ would have turned 32.

In April 2018, the recording industry in general and, more specifically, the world of music EMD suffered a great loss with the death of Tim Bergling, Known by his stage name Avicii, who tragically took his own life at the age of 28 in a hotel in Oman.

Now Google wanted to pay tribute to him on what would have been his 32nd birthday with a Doodle: one of those animations with which the technology giant occasionally replaces its colorful logo in its search engine to commemorate dates, important moments or celebrate the achievements of certain people.

The video redirected to doodle: when you click on it, it shows a kind of evolution of the Swedish artist’s career in the rhythm of ‘Wake Me Up’. From his humble beginnings, composed world-renowned songs on his computer, to his rise to fame, consequently leading him to perform before tens of thousands of people at the most exclusive festivals. It ends with an emotional scene in which he appears playing the guitar with his beloved dog Liam.

Born in Stockholm on September 8, 1989, Avicii reached worldwide relevance as a DJ in 2011, and producer of electronic music thanks to ‘Levels’, his first famous song.

His career was mark by great hits as ‘Hey brother’, albums like ‘True’ or ‘Stories’, and collaborations with artists like Coldplay, David Guetta, Lenny Kravitz, Robbie Williams or Rita Ora.
