Bad Bunny opens a restaurant in Miami: how is it

Singer Bad Bunny teamed up with David Grutman to open his first restaurant which he has called “Gekkō”.

Bad Bunny is opening his first restaurant, which is located in Miami. It is a Japanese-inspired steakhouse called Gekkō.

The Puerto Rican singer is not alone in this step into the restaurant business, he has partnered with Miami foodie and nightlife connoisseur David Grutman of Groot Hospitality.

Gekkō aims to provide customers with the best cuts of Wagyu beef, along with innovative sushi offerings. Fusing the traditional and modern in the dishes.

In addition to steaks and dishes with seafood, Bad Bunny’s restaurant will also include options for vegetarians on the menu, vegetable dishes and plant-based chicken.

There is an entire section dedicated to seafood and Japanese classics. On the menu includes a Japanese milk bread, Kumamoto oysters, lobster dumplings plus a variety of sushi, sashimi and nigiri.

Bad Bunny’s favorites are the A5 Tomahawk, Wagyu Crispy Rice and Lobster Fried Rice. The artist appreciates Japanese culture, like the little wink he makes in his song “Yonaguni”.

Bunny’s restaurant that opens the night of this Friday, August 12, is located in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami (at 8 SE 8th Street). The restaurant seats 185 diners, who will be able to take a seat in the indoor and outdoor dining rooms.

The space has luxurious decor that has jewel tones. Grutman’s vision for the space was to combine elements of a steakhouse with a lounge.

The reggaeton player has expressed a passion for food and chose Miami as he spends a lot of time in the city and it reminds him of home. “Miami is a city where I can relax. I love going out to eat, seeing the ocean, it’s just a great city,” he told Food and Wine.

Bad Bunny, who says that “sitting down with friends to enjoy a good meal is one of the moments he values ​​the most.” Through a statement, the singer was delighted that he will now have a hand in creating this experience for others.
