The former president of the United States Barack Obama (2009-2017) published this Tuesday his list of song recommendations for this summer, including “Saoko” by Spanish singer Rosalía.
“Saoko” was one of the 44 songs chosen by Obama to liven up the summer, along with “Break My Soul”, by Beyoncé; Tems’ “Vibe Out”; Miles Davis’s “Blue in Green”; “Last last”, by Burna Boy, and “Save Me”, by Aretha Franklin, among others.
“Every year I get excited to share my summer list because I learn about so many new artists from their responses. It is an example of how music can bring us together,” the former president wrote on his Twitter account.
Last July 6 Rosalia began in Almería what the Catalan artist herself defined as her “most handsome tour”. That is, the world tour of her third and most recent studio album, “Motomami”, already considered by specialized critics as one of the best of the year.
The fairgrounds of this Andalusian capital hosted the premiere of his new show, in which songs such as “La Combi Versace” or “Como un G” were played between four large screens, and later continued its march through 9 other cities in Spain such as Seville , Valencia, Barcelona and Palma.
Turned into a figure of world importance, her tour will travel outside the Spanish borders and can be seen on the other side of the Atlantic, in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Canada.
In the US, it will tour a dozen cities, with a double recital at Radio City Music Hall in New York and the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, before returning to Europe, where it is scheduled to perform in Portugal, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom until closing the tour in Paris on December 18.
