Basaltic Prisms Tourist Centerone of the 13 wonders of Mexico, located in the center of the country just 2:30 hours from Mexico City, located in the magical town, Huasca de Ocampo, Hidalgo.
natural formations lava rocks that simulate the shape of a prism, with more than 2 million years, columns that measure up to 40 meters high, with four waterfalls that emanate from the San Miguel Regla River.
It was discovered 200 years ago by the explorer Alexander von Humboldt, astonishment that it was drawn, a painting exhibited in the British Museum in London.
It adjoins the former hacienda of Holy Mary Rule formations that can be seen in the San Antonio dam, a farm that was inhabited by Pedro Romero de Terreros.
One of the most visited attractions, the center has various services apart from the observation and close visit to the prismsspace suitable for all ages, has parking suitable for buses and conventional cars.
Public baths, a small spa, food area and a suspension bridge that crosses the natural opening that gives rise to the prisms with two waterfalls that allow you to observe how the geometric figures on the rocks.
Visitors can have picnics inside the center, since it has special green areas to taste food and next to the parking lot there are two soccer fields for visitors to enjoy a family field day.
ATV rental. It has an ATV circuit with a duration of 25 minutes, the individual rent is from 14 years old, minors of this age must be accompanied by an adult.
Motorboats for a maximum of five people that run through the San Antonio de Regla dam, last 25 minutes.
Two lines that cross the prisms with 180 meters long with a height of 80 meters, suitable for girls and boys of three years with a weight limit of 150 kilos.
Admission is $100 per person and it is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
