After his arrest, the subject was immediately transferred to Toronto to be handed over to Canadian justice.

Mexican authorities captured one of the most wanted criminals in Canada. The apprehension occurred on January 28 in La Paz, Baja California Sur. The dangerous criminal was identified as Blake Charbonneau, a man facing charges of pimping and various sex crimes. After his arrest, the subject was immediately transferred to Toronto to be handed over to Canadian justice.

Charbonneau’s arrest was reported by the U.S. Embassy in Mexico, which shared some details about the arrest and celebrated the trilateral cooperation between Mexico, Canada, and the United States. According to the agency, the criminal had been living in Mexico since May 2021 but had kept a low profile and managed to go unnoticed by local authorities on different occasions until January 28, when he was finally identified and apprehended.

The agency also stated that the dangerous criminal was arrested thanks to the collaboration between the Integrated Pimping Squad (EILP) of Quebec Security, the United States Marshals Service and Mexican security institutions. After the arrest, the man flew back to Canada and was taken into custody by the Toronto Fugitive Squadron elements. Subsequently, this Monday, the subject was presented before a court in Quebec, where more than 30 charges were read against him.

According to Canadian authorities, Charbonneau was wanted for crimes he committed against more than a dozen women since 2011. Apparently, his criminal record began that same year when he first assaulted a 15-year-old minor. Years later, from 2017 to 2021, it is presumed that the criminal sexually abused at least six women of legal age; the accused operated in Quebec City and Laval, where he is originally from.

In addition, the subject has complaints against him for alleged pimping, which allegedly occurred from January 2016 to May 2022. Charbonneau is currently facing charges of sexual assault with a weapon, aggravated sexual assault, and obtaining sexual services for a fee (including from minors).
