Capitol Police investigated a possible explosive device in a van in front of the Library of Congress on Capitol Hill and evacuated the area around the building.
This is confirmed by a report from The Associated Press, but the police force of the Capitol of the United States also reported on the mobilization.
“The USCP is responding to a suspicious vehicle near the Library of Congress,” he said. “Please stay away from this area and keep updates on this account.”

The Washington, DC Police also deployed personnel specialized in explosives and reinforced vehicles.
