The Red Bull team cars managed to place on the podium of the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix held last weekend and the celebration was led by the one of the house, Sergio “Checo” Pérez.
The celebration took place in Antara, Mexico City, where in addition to the ‘bull’ team other pilots showed up top-flight figures such as Nikita Mazepin (Haas) and George Russell (Williams), as well as Alex Albon.
In the place it was possible to observe high volume music, a lot of liquor and a lot of laughter, all allowed by Red Bull who achieved victory with Max Verstappen and the third place with Checo Pérez, which was a source of pride for the Mexican population that attended the race.
The Mexican runner put his accent from his arrival at the celebration. A strong security team accompanied him when he arrived to the sound of the song “The tasty old man.”
The revelry began around 10 at night (Mexico time) but guests arrived until late at night to a party that could only be concluded by the light of the next day.
Among the Mexican personalities who also approached Antara are Rommel Pacheco (runner) and Memo Rojas (diver).
Another historical achievement of Checo Pérez
Checo’s career took an important leap when in 2013 he was announced to race with the Mclaren team when he was still a rookie, however, everything could have fallen apart after his departure from the team after just one season.
With a lot of momentum he stayed in the maximum competition first with Force India and then Racing Point. With enough credit and experience on their shoulders, on December 18, 2020, Red Bull opted for the Czech to be the squire of the brilliant Max Verstappen.
To his credit he has 15 podiums, two victories included, in addition to taking third place in the long-awaited Grand Prix of Mexico, an event in which he was strongly supported by his people.
Congratulations for the one from Guadalajara have come from everywhere, even from politics, as the president of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador highlighted his victory.
“I was full of support. I want us to enjoy a lot today, we deserve it, you have been the best hobby, not only today, since I started in my career. Today we Mexicans deserve to celebrate a lot, ”Pérez said after the result at the Mexican GP.
Checo has three consecutive podiums (all in third place) this season, so Red Bull is still very close to Mercedes in the fight for the F1 constructors’ championship.
