Chucky Lozano returns: the Mexican entered the call-up after overcoming his hard injury

The miraculous and rapid recovery that he has had Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano has made it available to the new coach of the Napoli, Luciano Spalletti, for this start of the A series. The Mexican already looks among those summoned for the duel this Sunday against Venezia.

It was not expected to see Lozano so soon in a call-up for the Neapolitan club after his terrible injury in the Gold Cup. In that tournament the striker from Guadalajara suffered a chilling injury after a clash with the Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper on July 10. He received 40 stitches, suffered his left eye and cervical.

He was treated promptly and effectively, he followed every step of his rehabilitation to the letter to return to action when before, and the doctors rewarded him by authorizing his return.

Luciano Spalleti is new to Napoli’s technical management, but he knows the individual quality of the Mexican. He already suffered when he was Inter Milan coach.

He is not expected to start this Sunday’s match against the newly promoted Venezia, but he is one of 23 named for the game.

Last season, Lozano played 32 games (23 as a starter) and scored 11 goals.
