Inhabitants of the Mexican state of Michoacán denounced that presumed members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) used drones with explosive charges during the clashes recorded this Monday in the municipality of Tepalcatepec.
So far, only one person has been reported injured during the incident.
The events were recorded and the images show a couple of villagers hidden among the vegetation shooting criminals.
Nevertheless, being at a disadvantage, they prefer to retreat to a safer place.
CJNG attack with drones loaded with explosives
This morning, an armed group from the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), ambushed the army in Tepalcatepec and Aguililla when they tried to recover the community from Loma Blanca.
The cartel fired from different points against the armed forces, against whom they have also launched drones loaded with explosives.
Through the videos, they reported some moments of the shooting between the criminal cell and the military personnel who responded to the attack.
Five soldiers were injured, after the impact of an explosive, without knowing the seriousness of his injuries.
The attack lasted until shortly after 12 noon this Saturday, so the federal forces responded by land and air to the offensive.
The soldiers did not stop their advance, until they regained control of security in Loma Blanca, El Bejuco and Cansangue, communities from which the CJNG displaced the inhabitants, after a series of attacks.
The Mexican Army maintains a significant deployment in Tepalcatepec, Coalcoman and Chinicuila, adjacent to the states of Jalisco and Colima, so has been the target of multiple attacks at the hands of that criminal organization.
Who are the Jalisco New Generation Cartel?
Today, one of the most important criminal organizations in Mexico is the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). Despite the capture of some of its main leaders, the group seems to continue to expand. They are known for his aggressive use of violence and their public relations campaign.
The CJNG is also known for targeting Mexican society through a idealistic propaganda, referring to solidarity and promising to get rid of other criminal groups operating in its territory, such as Los Zetas and the Caballeros Templarios.
As we have informed you on AmericanPost.News, after the capture last year of Rosalinda González Valencia, wife of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, “El Mencho”, leader of the CJNG, the pages of the national and international press were once again filled with information about this criminal organization, which according to the United States Department of Justice, is “the most dangerous in the world”.
