A study in 32 patients with irritable bowel syndrome by researchers from Shaheed Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (Iran), in which a herbal medicine containing coriander was used for 8 weeks, found showed that the severity, the frequency of abdominal pain, bloating, and discomfort were significantly lower than in the placebo group.
