Cryptocurrency Investors Make Forbes List of Richest Men in America

This has definitely been a year of news for cryptocurrencies, both good and bad, but the boom and momentum they have taken is noteworthy. The outstanding news ranges from its historical records to the falls and you cannot miss the news that relates to the investors who have trusted this asset.

In this last aspect, Forbes magazine has just published its list of the richest men in the United States and it includes several “crypto-millionaires”, which together have a collective value that reaches $ 55.1 billion dollars.

It should be noted that half of that amount belongs to a single person. Then who tops the list of cryptocurrency billionaires in Sam Bankam-Fried, CEO of crypto derivatives exchange FTX with $ 22.5 billion to his credit.

The billionaire in question topping that list is 29 years old and built his crypto empire in just two years, creating one of the largest trading platforms in the digital currency industry and it’s called FTX.

It is also on the list of “crypto millionaires” Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, the most popular crypto platform. Coinbase debuted on the public markets last April, with the largest listing in history, $ 86,000 million.

Armstrong, after entering the public markets, increased his equity to $ 11.5 billion.

Then they appear the Winklevoss brothers, Cameron and Tyler, owners of Gemini, platform that competes with Coinbase. They are listed with a net worth of $ 4.3 billion each.

Also on the list of crypto millionaires, Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, who now only remains with the company solely as a member of the board of directors, has a net worth of $ 3.5 billion.

Ehrsan left Coinbase in 2017 and today leads Paradigm, a crypto-focused investment firm.

Jed McCaleb, co-founder of Ripple, the blockchain technology platform, is another person who has increased his multi-million dollar fortune, thanks to cryptocurrencies. His stake in the company in XRP brought his fortune to $ 3 billion.

Another one on the list, which is not new, is Chris Larsen co-founder and president of Ripple with a net worth of $ 6 billion USD. It had already figured before when it reached $ 3 billion.

This week, it has been a good week for cryptocurrencies in general, especially for those who trust this type of investment. This Wednesday, October 20, the most popular cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, reached its historical maximum, passing the value of $ 66,000 dollars, after its ETF debut on the Stock Exchange.
