dakota johnson is about to close negotiations with Marvel to bring Madame Web to life in the new Spider-Man spinoff movie, Deadline revealed.

Madame Web, a character first introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man No. 201 from the 1980s, is a clairvoyant mutant specialized in predicting the future of superheroes related to Spider-Man.

“Madame Web” would be the biggest studio movie in years for Johnson, who left the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise and has since focused on smaller independent projects.

Recently, Johnson appeared at the Sundance Festival with two films: ‘Am I Ok?’ and ‘Cha Cha Real Smooth’, which he also produced under his contract with TeaTime.
