Demon Slayer creator honors Dragon Ball with special cover art

Demon slayer is one of the biggest franchises in Japan right now, and its anime has millions of fans around the world. The creator Koyoharu Gotouge I had no idea how great their series would be, and now, there are fans who classify shonen with characters like Dragon ball.

Recently, the Kimetsu no Yaiba artist has paid tribute to Dragon Ball with a special cover art. Fans received detailed art from Gotouge, who drew characters like Trunks, Bulma and Vegeta.

The article reached social networks by courtesy of Twitter user WSJ_manga this week. It was there that fans saw the anniversary cover and of course everyone is freaking out. After all, Gotouge doesn’t pay tribute to Dragon Ball every day, and this cute image will have Vegeta fans in their hearts.

As you can see above, the artwork addressed the art from volume 32 of Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama. In the past, the original manga artist wrote a cover promoting Bulma and Trunks, if you remember. So of course Gotouge stuck to that topic this time.

In her drawing, the Kimetsu no Yaiba artist illustrated Future Trunks and Bulma as the latter was holding Baby Trunks in her hand. The sketch went on to show Vegeta as the Saiyan sat between the pair.

Clearly the hero is going through a lot since his eldest son from an alternate timeline knocked on the door, but Future Trunks visited for the better. After all, someone needed to warn Earth about androids, and Goku’s heart defect wouldn’t heal on its own.

Koyoharu Gotouge’s cover is certainly different than the one made by Toriyama years ago, but fans still love his style. And, of course, there are more of these tributes on file.

Dragon Ball will have some of the most famous manga artists remake their covers in honor of its 40th anniversary. Clearly, there was no way for Gotouge to be left out of this campaign. Before we reported on AmericanPost.News, that Dragon Ball manga gets a new cover from the creator of Bleach.
