The entertainment world is in mourning with the news of the death of Diego Verdaguer. It was on Thursday, January 27, that it was confirmed that the Argentine singer had died as a result of COVID-19.

All the show programs paid tribute to the artist with portraits of his career and interviews he had given over the years. Programs like “Hoy”, “El Gordo y La Flaca” and “Venga la Alegría” dedicated a good amount of time to remember Verdaguer.

However, it was the program “Ventaneando” from Televisión Azteca that made a huge mistake during its live broadcast. In one of the commemorative graphics to the singer, the singer’s surname was misspelled and instead of the letter “D” in the Verdaguer surname, they put a “G”.

Many have found it disrespectful that the most successful and long-lasting program of shows in Mexico has made such a mistake.

On the death of the singer, the family shared a statement on Instagram where they released the sad news.

“With absolute sadness, we regret to inform all his public and friends that our dear Diego today left his beautiful body to continue his path and creativity in another form of eternal life… the whole family is immersed in this pain, for what we appreciate your understanding in these difficult times ”, reads the publication.
