An innocent 59-year-old man who was sitting on the sidewalk ended up dead when he was hit by a car in the middle of a fight between two women this morning in Queens (NYC).

The verbal brawl between two women turned deadly when one of them got into a car and tried to run over the other, but jumping the curb instead hit two innocent pedestrians, one of them fatally.

The unidentified motorist then sped off and fled in her black Honda vehicle, the New York police said. The unusual episode happened outside 601 Beach 20th Street in Far Rockawayshortly before 7:20 am today.

An older man who was sitting in his walker on the sidewalk was killed and a younger man in his 30s was injured when the irate female driver backed up.according to New York Post. “She then fled the scene,” an NYPD spokeswoman said, adding that the other woman is “cooperating with the investigation.”

The man was pronounced dead at St. John’s Hospital, where the younger man was reported in stable condition. The reason for the two women’s initial dispute has not been disclosed.
