Valente Machorro Martínez, aka El Valiente, a drug dealer affiliated with Unión Tepito, arrested in CDMX

The man tried to escape when he was caught by uniformed officers exchanging bags with possible drugs with another subject.

Members of Mexico City’s Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) arrested a man identified as Valente Machorro Martínez, alias El Valiente, who is linked to the Unión Tepito criminal group.

An individual allegedly leads the cell to which El Valiente is linked with the alias “El Trompas.” According to police investigations, the man is linked to drug sales and extortion in the Venustiano Carranza district.

Uniformed officers found El Valiente when he was exchanging bags containing suspected illicit substances with another individual. When the individuals involved noticed the presence of the authorities, they fled the scene, but Valente Machorro was captured, an action reported on Saturday, December 17.

For this action, the uniformed officers implemented discreet physical and mobile surveillance tactics on Rosario and Abraham Olvera streets, in the Centro neighborhood, where they located a subject with an unusual attitude, who was exchanging bags of probable drugs with another person,” the statement said.

The authorities seized from the subject 100 small orange bags that presumably contained marijuana and around 62 small bags with possible cocaine and cash. It should be noted that the SSC informed that this person had been admitted to the Penitentiary System of the capital due to the crime of carrying a firearm and against health. The 45-year-old man was taken together with the material seized to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to resolve his legal situation.

In addition, as a result of police investigations, it is known that the detainee probably belongs to a criminal cell related to homicides, extortion, and drug sales in the Venustiano Carranza district,” the document concluded.

The woman’s arrest resulted from a search warrant carried out at a house located on Roberto Fierro street, Ampliación Aviación neighborhood, in the Venustiano Carranza district. More than 190 doses of possible drugs were found there.

It should be recalled that just last Monday, December 12, the arrest of two alleged members of Unión Tepito was reported. The captured individuals were accused of aggravated extortion and demanded large amounts of money from Iztacalco merchants so that their businesses would not be burned.

They were identified as José “N” and Édgar “N” and were arrested in the Cerro la Estrella neighborhood in the Iztapalapa district of the municipality of Iztapalapa. The arrest came after one of their victims filed a complaint with the Mexican District Attorney’s Office, and the latter opened an investigation against them.
