Eight accidents, three arrests and two fires during Christmas in Yucatan

As part of Christmas Operation implemented annually by the Department of Public Security (SSP) of Yucatan, the state agency reported on eight accidents without fatalities, three people arrested Y two property fires.

In relation to traffic events in the city of Merida, Peripheral and state highways, registered from 7:00 a.m. on the 24th, until 5:00 a.m. December 25th, it was learned of eight accidents, with a balance of five people injured and none dead.

During the same period of time, the SSP Ambulance Unit reported a total of 42 services, of which 23 were for trauma (car accident, fall and burns) and 19 for illnesses. Of the total figure, 17 cases required transfer to hospitals.

For their part, the Firefighters of the Claims and Rescue Directorate, between 6:00 a.m. on December 24 and 6:00 a.m. today, December 25, 54 services attended, including a traffic accident, two farm fires, a vehicle fire, 18 brush fires, seven gas leaks, among others.
