In 2014 he obtained the presidency of the PAN State Steering Committee in Tamaulipas. He is credited with the triumph of Francisco García Caveza de Vaca, where the party achieved alternation for the first time in Tamaulipas.
On October 1, 2016, he was appointed as Secretary General of the Government in the administration of García Cabeza de Vaca and resigned on January 4, 2022 to compete for the candidacy for the governorship of Tamaulipas.
Americo Villarreal Anaya

Villarreal Anaya’s work began in his internal medicine and cardiology office in 1991, in addition to being head of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit at the General Hospital of Ciudad Victoria from 1991 to 1999, from then on he had various assignments in the private and public health area.
In 2016 he joined the ranks of the National Regeneration Movement, then became a senator of the Republic for the state, a position from which he is licensed today.
