Billionaire Elon Musk has denied sexually harassing a flight attendant following reports that he exposed himself on a private jet flight to London in 2016.
Tesla’s CEO dismissed the “savage accusations,” published by Insider, as “totally untrue,” adding, “It never happened.” He also joked that the reports should be called “Elongate”.
A well-known business news outlet reported that Musk paid a flight attendant $250,000 to settle a sexual misconduct claim against him.
According to the Business Insider report, the assistant accused Musk of exposing himself to her, rubbing her leg without her consent, and offering to buy her a horse if he gave him an erotic massage.
The stewardess was reportedly working as a contract cabin crew member on Space X private jets at the time.
The news outlet reportedly saw a statement, which was provided by a friend of the flight attendant, in support of her claim.

In the statement, the friend said the assistant had confided in her after the alleged 2016 incident.
According to comments reported by the friend, the Tesla founder asked the flight attendant to come to his room during a flight for “a full body massage.” He arrived to find Musk “completely naked except for a sheet that covered the lower half of his body,” according to the claims.
Supposedly, it was during the massage that Musk exposed himself to her and offered to buy her a horse.
Musk told the publication that the story was a “politically motivated hit.” In response to a request for comment, he emailed asking for more time, saying there was “a lot more to this story.”
He continued, “If I were inclined to engage in sexual harassment, this is unlikely to be the first time in my entire 30-year career that it has come to light.”
After the assistant sent a complaint to Human Resources, Musk settled the claim with a $250,000 payment, Business Insider reported.
The attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens – this is their standard (despicable) playbook – but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech

In a series of posts on Twitter after the story broke, Musk said: “The attacks against me should be viewed through a political lens – this is their standard (despicable) playbook – but nothing will deter me from fighting for a good future and your right to free speech”
He added: “And for the record, those wild accusations are completely false.”
“But I have a challenge for this liar who claims his friend saw me ‘exposed’: describe just one thing, anything (scars, tattoos,…) that is not known to the public. She won’t be able to do it, because she never happened,” he said.
He also joked that “finally, we can use Elongate as a scandal name,” adding, “It’s kind of perfect.”
Musk is currently negotiating a $44 billion deal to buy social media giant Twitter. He recently tweeted that the deal “cannot move forward” unless Twitter backs up its claims that less than 5 percent of daily users are fake or spam accounts.
