British composer Elton John will perform on Friday in the White House garden, at the invitation of United States President Joe Biden, in a concert that seeks to celebrate “the healing power of music.”

The White House reported this Tuesday in a statement that the event will have the title “A night when hope and history rhyme” (“A night when hope and history rhyme”) and in it Biden and first lady Jill Biden will present a musical performance of this “legend of music”.

The performance, which will take place in collaboration with A+E Networks and The History Channel, will celebrate “the unifying and healing power of music” and celebrate the life and work of the Briton.

In addition, the concert seeks to pay tribute to those who “make history every day”, including teachers, nurses, frontline workers, mental health advocates, students, LGBTQ+ advocates, among others, who will be part of the audience.
