Mexican actor and producer Eugenio Derbez continues to make headlines for the mansion he allegedly bought in Encino, California. This time the actor talked about it during an interview with Javier Poza.

The specialized media ‘Dirt.com’ was the one that spread the news of the purchase in the first place, assuring that Derbez had paid $14 million dollars for the luxurious mansion. The news caused a lot of comparisons between the mansion he has in Beverly Hills and the one in Encino, implying that it was a big life change.

During the interview with Poza, the comedian joked, “I have yet to meet a wing, the b wing.” This joke joins the ones he posted on his Twitter account days ago, where he compared his supposed new mansion to the Taj Mahal and the White House.

The alleged mansion he bought has an extension of 13,000 square feet distributed in seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen, bar, office, sauna, cinema room, gym, garage with capacity for six vehicles, and many more luxuries.

Its exterior is equally impressive for its extensive green areas with a small basketball court, a swimming pool, spa area, brazier, barbecue area, terrace, covered but open living room, and surrounding vegetation.

Derbez believes that he became the buyer of the property because he usually visits residences of all kinds when looking for film sets for his movies. “We rent a lot of houses for work,” he says.

He also assured everyone that he still lived in the same Beverly Hills mansion he bought when he moved to California five years ago. He also confessed that he prefers to rent houses and not stay in hotels when he travels for work. He says he does it because he often travels with his dog Fiona and a hotel does not offer the same freedoms for her.

In addition to the controversy surrounding the $14 million mansion, Derbez has also been in the news for some statements about the Mayan Train, which he says got him banned from Televisa.

It remains to be seen if the rumors of this mansion disappear or if the information is confirmed despite the statements of the actor, who in the last edition of the Oscars triumphed with the film ‘Coda’.
