Family tragedy: 14-year-old girl stabbed by younger brother in Jamaica, Queens

By the time officers arrived at the home, a 14-year-old girl was found with stab wounds to her arms, legs, and face. An 8-year-old boy was in the residence at the time of the attack.

According to authorities, a 13-year-old boy is accused of stabbing his younger sister at their Jamaica, Queens home.

Reports said the incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. Saturday at 11th Avenue and 156th Street, ABC7 NY reported.

When officers arrived at the home, a 14-year-old girl was found with stab wounds to her arms, legs, and face. An 8-year-old boy was in residence at the time of the assault.

According to the authorities, the girl detailed that her younger brother had staged the aggression that took her to Jamaica Hospital. She remains in critical but stable condition but with a collapsed lung.

For his part, the 13-year-old girl’s brother gave officials his version after calling 911 to report that there was a suspected robber.

However, the authorities inspected the place and determined no robbery, so the minor was arrested.

According to authorities, the boy later confessed to stabbing his sister while in custody, who added that they searched the crime scene and found the knife in the kitchen.

The children’s parents were not home when the assault occurred. Officers reported that they called the parents but did not arrive at the home after being informed of the incident.

Likewise, the police stated that the causes of the incident were being investigated.
