Firefighter to the rescue: Raúl Jiménez gave an assist in the Wolves’ FA Cup victory

Raul Jimenez He couldn’t break his match streak without scoring, but he did gave an assist in the victory of the Wolverhampton Wanderers over Sheffield United (3-0) in the 32nd finals of the FA Cup.

The “Firefighter” started at the bank. The young Fabio Silva took his place in the starting lineup. The Wolves quickly took the lead thanks to a goal from Daniel Podence, at minute 14 ′. Thus ended the first half.

It was an even game. Sheffield – Second Division – stood up. But finally the team with the highest quality prevailed. Raul Jimenez and Trincao entered 68 ′ to sentence the game and the results came immediately.

Nelson Semedo made it 2-0 at 72 ′. And eight minutes later the Mexican striker made his appearance, receiving a deep ball from the left wing.

Goalkeeper Wesley Foderingham went wrong and Jiménez took advantage of this: with a cut he took it off, like a defender, he took a pass back and Podence did not miss from the half moon with the goal practically empty.

Was the Raúl Jiménez‘s third assist of the season. He’s already attended a couple of times in the Premier League. The Fireman will return to the field on January 15, when Wolves host Southampton on matchday 22 of the Premier League.
