According to what was stated in his visit to New York this Tuesday, November 9, by the Mexican president, the “Fund for Fraternity and Well-being in the World”, aims to lift around 750 million inhabitants of the planet out of poverty. they live on $ 2 a day.

This plan also has contemplated raise about a trillion dollars through a 4% tax on the thousand people and thousand richest companies on the planet and from a fund of 0.2% of the Gross Domestic Product of the countries that make up the G20.

“We think that we are going to have a lot of participation and that Mexico will be in a very important and relevant position to achieve this objective,” the Mexican official confided.

During the morning conference, Marcelo Ebrard, specified that this proposal from Mexico seeks to deliver resources directly to the 750 million poor people and not to governments, They could be distributed through mechanisms such as the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which could manage direct transfers to beneficiaries.
