Christmas is the time when there is more activity at airports, however, as we tell you in AmericanPost.News there were thousands of flights canceled by Covid-19 and the situation continues.

But now the situation worsened as the day progressed, and in the next two days, major US airlines announced more cancellations.

According to Flight Aware, the companies with the most cancellations continue to be Delta, with 131 of its flight plans canceled this Sunday, followed by Jetblue (110 itineraries suspended) and United (100).

The suspension of flights is due to the increase in infections derived from the Omicron variant that is said to have high contagion, in addition to the fact that many of its personnel are in quarantine.

For its part, Delta has attributed the cancellations to omicron, but also to meteorological conditions with snow storms that threaten the western US, from Washington state to southern California.
