A winter storm Dangerous blizzard conditions and heavy snow hit the Northeast US coast on Saturday, disrupting plane and ground travel and more than 100,000 customers without power.
Total snowfall is expected to be more than 12 inches along most of the northeast coast and 24 inches in Massachusetts, including the Boston area.
Snowfall totals are difficult to calculate due to drifting snow, but reports from the National Weather Service (NWS) showed that in In some areas of Massachusetts, snow was falling at a rate of 3 to 4 inches per hour.
