The International Police Office (Interpol) issued a red card for you to Ines Gomez Mont and Víctor Manuel Álvarez Puga are wanted in more than 190 countries, for the case of organized crime and money laundering that derives from an alleged diversion of $ 2,950 million pesos of the federal prison system.
The international search order was issued at the request of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), based on the arrest warrant issued last month by a control judge of the Federal Criminal Justice Center of Almoloya de Juárez, in the State from Mexico.
The red card is a format with personal data, alleged crimes and a person’s photograph, which is distributed to all Interpol affiliated countries to track down someone wanted by justice.
In some nations, this form is enough to retain a suspect, but in many others it is only useful to give a notice that a wanted subject has been located in a specific place or in transit and the purpose is for the interested country to request extradition. .
According to federal authorities, both the businessman and the television presenter have been out of the country for several months. Until now, neither of them has filed an amparo against the arrest warrant.
Álvarez Puga and his wife are indicted in a criminal case in which a total of 12 arrest warrants were issued, 5 of them former commanders of the Decentralized Administrative Body for Prevention and Social Readaptation (OADPRS) and the other 5 alleged “invoices”.
According to the theory of the FGR, the officials triangulated $ 2,950 million pesos from two large contracts to a total of 6 billing companies and some of them made deposits to Álvarez Puga and his wife.
One of the contracts was to acquire the OADPRS Command, Control, Computing, Coordination, Alert and Intelligence Center System for federal prisons in the Altiplano, Occidente, Northeast, Northwest, East, Southeast, North-Northwest, North-West , Norte and the Federal Center for Psychosocial Rehabilitation of Morelos.
The other was for the purchase of the interconnection to that system of the Federal Centers for Social Readaptation of Sonora, the Female Center of Morelos and that of Michoacán.
The main former official who is wanted by the FGR is Eduardo Guerrero Durán, former OADPRS commissioner, between September 2015 and October 2016.
