A Pastor of a church located on Old Kings Road, She is charged with sexual assault charges against minors.. During his appearance, the man pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
Paul Dyal is one of three pastors who were formally charged by Jacksonville authorities with sexually abusing minor children within the Body of Christ Assembly Church.
The man has been held in jail without bail since last month, when the complaints began. The authorities consider that these abuses originated more than 30 years ago, which is the time that the Pastor had been officiating the masses in the church.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office raided the church last March, after a lengthy investigation into allegations of physical and sexual abuse of minors. The Pastor lived in the upper part of the compound and had easy access to the victims.
Pastor Dyal had an appearance in court, where the arraignment was read. Some of the suspect’s victims were listening via zoom.
the church man, pleaded not guilty to all charges that he has against him, advised by his defense attorney, who filed an injunction to seek bail: “Waiting to file a motion to set bail,” he said.
Cynthia Crawford, a lawyer for the victims, revealed that both she and her clients hope that the motion regarding the right to bail will be denied by the judge.
“Paul Dyal lives above the church, so had access to children. Also, the church is right across the street from a school, so we want the judge will understand and take all the circumstances into consideration”, said the lawyer.
The legal representative shared with the FOX30 newscast that the children she represents will be present at all the hearings, hoping that the resolution will be favorable to them.

The other two pastors facing the same charges are Vernon Williamson and Jerome Teschendorf, who were arrested in Oklahoma, also for capital sexual assault in connection with the investigation. They will have their arraignment on April 12 and 19, respectively.
According to information collected by the First Coast News, it revealed that the victims were sexually abused by one or all three men as children, Since more than 30 years. A 50-year-old woman confessed that she was abused from the age of 5 to 14. Yet another, she alleged that she was 7 years old when she was sexually abused.
The investigators of the case they have reason to believe that more people are involved in physical and sexual abuse. They ask them to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office to add him to the investigation.
