Jaime Echenique has signed a contract with the Washington Wizards. The Colombian center will have the opportunity to earn a place on the roster after signing an “Exhibit 10 contract” to carry out the preseason with the team. If he finally ends up in the G-League team in the medium term, he will receive a financial bonus.

Echenique signs this contract after having played the Summer League with the Wizards and having averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 4 games. In most of the games he had only a few minutes, but in the only one that exceeded 10 minutes of play, he signed 17 points and 4 rebounds with 3 steals and 2 blocks.
Echenique played 18 games with Acunsa GBC last season, seeing his progression with the Gipuzkoan team interrupted by a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee. He was able to return in May to play two games against MoraBanc Andorra and Unicaja de Málaga before ending 20/21. His averages were 12.8 points and 4.6 rebounds in 20 minutes of play.
