Jason Momoa ditched his trademark long hair and it was all to raise awareness for a good cause that has to do with his love for the environment.
The protagonist of ‘Aquaman’ shared a clip on his Instagram account, in which he is shown shaving his iconic locks, and assured that he was tired of “plastic bottles, plastic forks and all that shit *” that ends up in landfills and the oceans.
Momoa’s objective, of course, is none other than to try to urge all his followers on the importance of eliminating single-use plastics in favor of aluminum canteens or alternatives.
“I had never felt the wind right there!”, he joked in the video where he documented the process.
“I’m here in Hawaii right now, and seeing things in our ocean is very sad. Please anything you can do to eliminate single use plastics in your lives. Help me, plastic bottles are ridiculous,” she expressed.
Jason felt the need to do something impactful and showed that he is not afraid of change in order to send that message about our heavy reliance on single-use plastic.
“There are new beginnings here. Let’s be better at protecting our land and oceans” Jason Momoa
“We need to remove single-use plastics from our lives and from our seas. Plastic bottles, plastic bags, packaging, utensils, everything,” Jason Momoa wrote separately in the caption of his post.
Jason, on the other hand, has been talking about this for a long time and has already done his bit for the cause. In 2019, the actor created a company called ‘Mananalu’ that sells water in aluminum containers and also collaborates with the organization rePurpose Global to clean the oceans.
