In a serendipitous and romantic turn of events, influencer Jeni de la Vega recently found herself engaged to actor Eleazar Gómez. The romantic proposal transpired during a dinner, meticulously orchestrated by Gómez, complete with a path lined with roses and glowing candles.
“I arrived and I see everything like this,” Jeni recounted in an interview with De la Rosa TV. “I followed the path, I’m arriving and it’s a romantic dinner (…) In the end, he told me that, that if I wanted to marry him.”

Although the engagement caught Jeni by surprise, she expressed her joy and anticipation for their forthcoming wedding. Eleazar, known for his role in Rebelde, expressed the simplicity in his decision to propose. “If you feel something in your heart and you feel it straight, you have to do it,” Gómez passionately stated.
Jeni’s past relationships

Before Eleazar, Jeni’s love life made headlines due to her brief relationship with singer Peso Pluma, which lasted for three months. She fondly recalled the courteous and attentive nature of her ex-boyfriend, Hassan Emilio. However, Jeni decided to end the relationship, prioritizing her personal aspirations. “When I fall in love, I give myself too much…I was putting my things aside, so I preferred to say goodbye,” Jeni admitted.
After parting ways with Peso Pluma, fate led Jeni to Eleazar Gómez. While Eleazar’s past was marred with accusations, Jeni has consistently maintained that he has treated her with utmost respect since the inception of their relationship.

In the recent past, Eleazar Gómez faced grave accusations related to domestic violence. A harrowing incident in November 2020 saw him arrested hours after proposing to Tefi Valenzuela, following allegations that he physically assaulted her during a romantic dinner. The neighbors’ alarm over the distressed screams of the Peruvian model led to the authorities’ intervention.
Subsequent investigations supported Tefi’s claim that the actor tried to strangle her. This serious accusation landed Eleazar in prison. However, in March 2020, he secured his release by reaching a settlement with Valenzuela. The terms included compensating her with 420,000 pesos, a public apology, a restraining order, and a three-year probation period. While incarcerated, Gómez made futile attempts to seek Tefi’s forgiveness through letters, as confirmed by Fran, Tefi’s brother.

Jeni de la Vega, known not only for her influence but also her entrepreneurial spirit, often graces the screens of Venga la Alegría during weekends. As the couple embarks on this new chapter, they are yet to finalize the wedding venue, aiming for a grand celebration in 2024 that accommodates friends and family from both sides.
Eleazar’s past actions have undoubtedly affected his career, with his attempts to venture into music and theater not gaining much traction. As both Eleazar and Jeni step into the future together, it remains to be seen how this union will unfold and if the shadow of the past will continue to linger.
