The eternal “Diva De La Banda,” Jenni Rivera, lives on through her new posthumous album “Misión Cumplida,” which includes eight unreleased songs that instantly showcase the powerful and unmatched voice of the late singer.
Jenni Rivera extends her legacy with this new record production titled “Misión Cumplida,” under the executive leadership of her daughter Jacqie Rivera, CEO of Jenni Rivera Enterprises.
“Jenni used to say she was a normal woman trying to provide for her children. She would make it through real estate or working as a waitress, but God placed her in this position for a purpose. Her music opened the door, but her story won the hearts of her fans,” said Jacqie Rivera.
“This album,” she added, “represents her whole life story and the fact that she accomplished what she came here to do. He left a footprint and a legacy of inspiration.”
The album features production by Banda MS founder and leader Sergio Lizárraga and band member Pavel Ocampo. Jenni’s son, Johnny Lopez, also worked on the creative direction.
The lead single on Misión Cumplida, “Pedacito De Mí,” begins with a soulful and energetic vocal written by Jenni for Johnny during her pregnancy with him.
Digging through the vaults, Jenni left a reference track for what would become “Pedacito De Mí,” her children put the finishing touches on it. It represented a special moment as they honored their mother in the best way possible: with music.
“It feels really special that my mom started this song for me, and we are completing it with the help of my brothers. It feels like a two-way gift: her to me and us to her,” Jenni’s daughter stressed.
Simultaneously with the Misión Cumplida album’s release, the “Pedacito De Mí” music video premieres today on Jenni Rivera’s YouTube channel.
In addition, the album features the track “Q.T.M.L.,” which encapsulates Jenni’s personality with riveting vocals and energetic performance. On the other hand, the song “Motivos” highlights her vulnerability with its emotionally charged delivery.
