Puerto Rico: the Christmas lightning celebration shooting left two wounded in Juana Díaz

In the vicinity of the Plaza Román Baldorioty de Castro, where the lighting of Christmas was celebrated.

JUANA DÍAZ – A 20-year-old young man and an 80-year-old woman were shot and wounded early this morning while in the vicinity of Plaza Román Baldorioty de Castro, where the Christmas lighting was celebrated.

The young man, who lives in Villalba, was shot in the right leg, and the woman, a resident of Juana Díaz, in the left leg.

The victims were taken to San Cristóbal Hospital and are out of danger. The bullets also hit a pickup truck.

Agent Wanda Maldonado, from the Homicide Division of the Ponce Criminal Investigations Corps, is investigating.
