Karol G has become an icon of the music and fashion industry thanks to the fight she has promoted in her social networks to decouple the use of Photoshop and the objectification of women. Likewise, her musical career has been on the rise due to the collaborations she had with Nicki Minaj and Shakira, with whom she released Tusa and TQG.
The artist has appeared on the covers of prestigious publications like GQ, Elle, and Vogue Mexico, which catapulted them to the forefront and led to their selection as the face of the Loewe advertising campaign for the summer. This increased visibility has amplified the impact of their social media posts, as demonstrated by the significant buzz generated by the announcement of their new single.

“Exactly one month away from the first date of the tour, I have an IMPORTANT announcement to give you; so important that I made a song and a video because that’s how big it is! (…) The day after tomorrow July 13 (13 my # Favorite spiritually), you are going to be able to see and listen,” initially wrote La Bichota in the caption of the publication, with a preview of what the video will be.
Subsequently, she invited all her followers to replicate the video, especially those who will be present on the tour initially taking place in the United States.

“REMEMBER, I ALWAYS SAVE THE BEST FOR LAST. Pdta: This one is dedicated to my loved ones, TO THOSE OF ALWAYS”, opening the door for her followers to be in expectation of the show she will offer at the end, so Colombians are hopeful that she will soon announce dates for the national territory.

Female power present in Barbie
On July 9, the premiere of the Barbie movie took place in Los Angeles, California, where Karol G was present as part of the film’s soundtrack. The Colombian star dazzled in a pink outfit that matched her long hair, which was in allusive colors, and she also met up with artists such as Nicki Minaj and Dua Lipa.
The event was also attended by Margot Robbie, who arrived on the pink carpet in an elegant dress that carried one of the inanimate figures in black with thousands of crystals. The design was composed of a strapless body-tight corset perfectly adapted to the actress’s body. In addition, the dress ended in a tulle skirt with a mermaid cut at the calves and, as a complementary ornament, a red rose on the left side.

While walking the pink carpet, journalists seized the opportunity to ask Robbie about the most memorable songs from the Barbie soundtrack. Robbie mentioned “Watati,” a catchy tune that she has been unable to forget.
Robbie’s response thrilled Karol G, who promptly shared it on her InstaStories. Karol G, who boasts over 64 million followers on the social media platform, posted Robbie’s answer and emojis – a smiling face with tears, a pink heart, and some stars.
