Man opens fire on crowd at Phoenix mall, killing woman, leaving two more life-threatening injuries

Three people suffered life-threatening injuries after a gunman opened fire on a crowd of up to 100 peopleaccording to reports.

Police revealed that at least nine people were injured after shots were fired in a Phoenix mall on the morning of June 4.

Phoenix police Sgt. Andy Williams said an argument appears to have led to the shooting, he told KALB.

A teenager was among those shot but is expected to survive, CBS5 reported.

I know believes the victims are between 17 and 24 years oldaccording to the police.

A person, believed to be an adult female, died from injuries sustained during the shootingPhoenix police said.

Two others, both adult women, are being treated for life-threatening injuries. Six people, including a teenager, are hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.

It is not known how many shooters were involved in the incident, but police believe only one gun was used.

The police have not arrested any suspects while investigations continue.

The motive for the shooting is also unknown.

Officers responded to the scene and cordoned off the area where the shooting took place with police tape.

The shooting comes amid a wave of gun violence that has hit the United States.

One person has died after shots were fired at a party Friday night in Chester, Virginia.

Six people were shot in total, Lt. Dave Sumner told The Sun.

Chesterfield County Police said officers were dispatched to the scene of the incident after receiving reports of rowdy youths.
