March 1: Nirvana’s last concert

On March 1, 1994, Nirvana played their last concert with Kurt Cobain.

On March 1, 1994 in Munich, Germany, the last concert of Nirvanawhere some 3,000 people enjoyed the presentation of this iconic band at Terminal Einz.

According to the fans, the show began with absolute normality playing the sarcastic version of ‘My Best Friend’s Girl’ by The Cars. Some point out that it was not the best concert of the band and that was full of accidents, besides the voice of the Kurt Cobain he was not at his best.

There are no official videos to leave a record of this presentation, although German television was present. The concert only lasted 80 minutes, being the shortest of the entire tour.

During the performance of ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ Cobain failed to hit the highest notes, noticing the deterioration of his voice. The rest of the tour was canceled after this concert.

The rumors of the separation with Courtney Love became more and more evident and Kurt was pale, the doctors he was diagnosed at that time with bronchitis and laryngitisrecommending him to rest, but the singer ignored this and decided to continue with the tour of Europe.

Cobain, Dave Grohl and Pat Smear also played ‘Breed’, ‘In Bloom’, ‘About a Girl’ and ‘Lithium’.

Shortly after, the musician flew to Rome where overdoseda month after this incident, Cobain committed suicide and the band did not meet again.
