Local media reported the incident, detailing that it occurred in the popular bar “El Venadito” located in the center of the town.
According to information provided by El Heraldo, the Army, the National Guard, and the police force began their mobilization after the shots were reported inside the place. Currently, there is no official statement on the events that took place.

“We lay down for a while, and this guy didn’t arrive, and I said, no, I’m going to go, to ask over there, to see if he is working, to get rid of this pending matter. The bar was quiet, all those people, whatever, all the time, they have been quiet bars, there had never been anything,” said a resident of Jerez and quoted El Heraldo.
