McDonald’s is preparing to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. And it is that the company of the yellow arches now It is requiring its clients and workers to use masks in all branches of the country where there is a rebound in the case of new infections.

With this, the popular fast food restaurant becomes the largest chain in the US to implement this requirement to all people who enter its branches, whether they are customers or employees. This way, the company follows the updated recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Remember that most large companies, such as Walmart, Target, Lowe’s, and Khol’s, really only require their employees to wear face masks, while customers are only strongly advised to do so as well, but not required.

McDonald’s confirmed that it will make the use of masks mandatory on Monday.

Taking into account that it will only be in the areas of greatest contagion, this measure is not as intense as the one applied a year ago, when the company asked customers and employees to wear face masks in each of its 14,000 restaurants in the country.

McDonald’s had initially removed the requirement to wear a mask for people who were fully vaccinated on May 21., after other companies implemented similar measures, as reported in USA Today.

The move to bring back the masks comes nearly a week after the CDC said it recommends that people vaccinated against the coronavirus start wearing face masks indoors again in areas where the spread of the virus has rebounded.

Masks remain mandatory for clients and employees who are not vaccinated in all parts of the country.

On the other hand, Apple was the first company to reinstate the policy of the use of face masks for employees and workers in some of its stores, including those that were fully vaccinated. This measure is in force in 270 branches in the country.
