Shootings in South Florida Walmarts

Merely two months ago, a fatal shooting was reported in a Walmart in Broward County, South Florida. According to authorities at the time, the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died in the hospital.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) reported that the man who fired the weapon was arrested sometime after fleeing the Walmart parking lot on a scooter at 3001 N State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes.

In September 2022, another person died, and a suspect was arrested following a shooting inside a Walmart located at 21151 South Dixie Highway in Goulds, in the southwest of Miami-Dade County.

At the time, the police confirmed that the shooting was the result of a fight, but they did not detail where in the store the incident occurred. They only stated that upon arrival at the site, they found a person with gunshot wounds. The Miami-Dade firefighters transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where they later died.
